PICNIC!

The picnic was a blast. Seriously. Everyone prepared food and in the end, we prepared more than we could eat.

We have sandwiches by Junhao, Alethea and Timothy; Mashed potatoes by Genevieve (who was supposed to prepare potato salad!) and Junhao; Pasta by Edwin; Chocolates and cheese party cubes by Junhao; Ruffles by Junhao and Timothy; Cheesecake and muffins by yours truly!

So everyone was late, but so what? We had fun. Found a nice spot (turned out to be not so nice) by the pond of Botanic Gardens.

You see everyone enjoying the food. But not for long. We had some friends who decided that they should join us and caused some panic in the end.

You see, we were just sitting by the lake and the swans could easily swim up.

They are smiling, but I’m pretty sure they are quite scared.

Everyone tried very very hard to maintain their calm and continue to enjoy our food but in the end, all of us had to stand up and do something about it.

Yeah Genevieve, like fanning the swan was very helpful.

So the swans and pigeons decided that they had fun seeing us panic and after awhile, they decided to go back to their nests and sleep.

And we were also kinda shagged from the screaming and all so we packed up and leave as well. But not forgetting a group picture before leaving!

Food and more food

The past few days was spent hanging out with the guys. Haha. Just eating and eating.

Going to find that little girl at Thomson later.

Went to cut hair at Snip Avenue again. This time, they are charging $3.80! How much cheaper can a haircut get?

Picnic on Wednesday. Looking forward to it. Please don’t rain! I don’t mind the sun!

It started with a chair

Managed to catch Juno last night.

It’s one brilliant dark comedy I tell ya. I just love the lingo they use in this movie! And Ellen Page is just perfect for the role of 16 year old Juno. Who would have thought that she’s 21 one already? She can also act like a total bitch where she pulls off sharp and eclectic dialogue and provides some clever and quotable remarks.

“He is the cheese to my macaroni”

Maybe one thing bad about this movie is the music, the awful music. It was monotonous. Or maybe it’s just because I don’t appreciate that kind of music… yet.

“I know people are supposed to fall in love before they reproduce, but, I guess normalcy’s not really our style.”

But overall, this movie still remains very watchable. Hope Ellen Page can win the Best Actress award at the Oscars this Sunday (Monday, Singapore time).

Exams are over…

Yesterday after the exams, I went straight home. What a nice way to spend it right.

But I did something productive. Reformat my computers! Haha. What a geek. At least now I have the comps running to the way I like it. Spent some time getting the codecs right for mp4 movies to be played in Winamp. Grrr.

Today will be spent by purely slacking at home. Maybe I should clear my stuff that’s lying around. Exam always gets my stuff messy cos I would need to bring out all the notes and start trashing them around. It gets worse in the midst of exams cos one whole module of notes will be chucked somewhere while I focus on the next paper.

Oh, and Singapore won the bid to hold the first Youth Olympic Games 2010 with 53 votes to 44. Hmm. More people coming in to share land space with us. But 2010… I’ll be in army by then.
